Office Policies

It can’t be all fun. We take what we do seriously, and this stuff too.

Open Door Policy
During operative procedures, we implement an “open door” policy. This means that the door to your child’s treatment room is always available to you. For most appointments, parents are welcome back with their children. At the same time, we’ve found that kids can do wonderfully on their own, so depending on our relationship with your child, and the treatment, we may let them show us their strength and ask that you remain in the waiting room. We’ll see.

Whether you accompany your child back to the appointment, or stay in the reception area, know this: Dr. Kady, Dr. Alesia, Dr. Leann, Dr. Melissa, Dr. Sue and staff are trained to help children overcome anxiety. You will be amazed at how well your child will do without your presence! Please try not to be concerned if your child exhibits some negative behavior. Our job is to help them get through their dental procedures as quickly and pleasantly as possible. Careful and loving coaching will help your child have a positive dental experience. Studies and experience have shown that most children older than three react more positively when permitted to experience the dental visit on their own. We have three child friendly offices and most patients look forward to coming to see us. You are welcome to visit from the waiting room to check in on our progress but we ask that you are a silent observer. Parents are asked to assist with some procedures on a case-by-case basis depending on each child’s individual needs.

Payment & Financial Information
Dr. Kady and Sprout Dental work with a number of major insurance providers and accepts Medical Assistance (Access). We are happy to accept assignment for these patients; however, you will be responsible for any balance unpaid by your insurance company after 30 days. If the balance is not paid within 60 days, a finance charge of 1.5% (minimum of $5.00) will be added to your account until paid.

What if I have a different insurance?
Most other PPO’s will reimburse for services rendered in our office and we are happy to submit insurance claims electronically. Please check with your insurance prior to your appointment to determine what their reimbursement policy is.

Payment in full is expected at each appointment. Our office provides all patients with the anticipated payments required at each visit. We call this an estimated portion. If there are any questions before arriving for an appointment, please call the office and our staff will be happy to discuss this with you.

Our office accepts cash, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover. We also offer third party financing options. Be sure to ask when you schedule your appointment.

We offer a 3% accounting courtesy for all treatment that is paid in full (cash or check) at the time of service. We will still file your insurance and payment will go directly to you the parent.

Insurance Coverage
Your insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company. That means that we have no say in the selection of your insurance, the type of plan or your benefits. Your insurance company will pay the minimum amount that it deems, without the benefit of examining or treating your child. We base all of our treatment on what is best for your child, not your insurance company. No dental insurance covers 100% of dental care and most have exclusions. It is your responsibility to know what is covered by your particular dental plan.
